Abstract

This research aims to improve the skills of village communities in making accessories and costume arrangement based on local culture through Mbangun Deso activities. The implementation method uses a participatory approach which includes the stages of preparation, training, mentoring, and evaluation. The target of the activity is members of local cultural arts societies with diverse backgrounds. Evaluations were carried out using pre-test and post-test, observation, satisfaction questionnaires, and portfolio assessments. The results of the activity showed a significant improvement in the technical skills of the participants with an average increase of 96.7%. The highest improvement occurred in the finishing ability of the product, which was previously the least mastered aspect. In addition, a village-based creative business group has been formed that has begun to receive product orders, showing the potential for the program's economic sustainability.
