Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of a simple hydroponic system for water spinach (Ipomoea reptans) cultivation at P4S Sedana Sari as an applied learning and production model under limited land conditions. The study examines key concepts including cultivation stages, nutrient management, plant growth response, and technical constraints. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed through direct field observation conducted in mid-2024, covering seedling preparation, transplanting, maintenance, and harvesting stages. The findings indicate that the simple hydroponic system supported uniform vegetative growth, healthy plant appearance, and low pest disturbance. These results suggest that simple hydroponic systems are suitable for small-scale application and agricultural training centers, contributing to sustainable cultivation practices in land-limited environments.
