Sarcopenia is a health problem in the elderly that is characterized by a decrease in muscle mass, strength, and function, increasing the risk of limited activity and dependence. This study aims to analyze the role of community physiotherapy in the prevention of sarcopenia in the elderly, especially through education and structured physical activity. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with in-depth interviews with 15 informants consisting of the elderly, physiotherapists, and health cadres. The data is analyzed thematically through the process of reduction, categorization, and interpretation. The results showed that physical activity education, muscle strengthening exercises, balance exercises, and routine mentoring increased awareness and participation of the elderly in maintaining physical function. Community physiotherapy plays a strategic role as a promotive and preventive effort to reduce the risk of sarcopenia and support the independence of the elderly.
